Kit Preview : 1/76 Matchbox M40 Gun 155mm Gun Motor Carriage
About the manufacturer
Matchbox released several ranges 1/76 armor kits in the seventies and eighties. They were characterized by their interesting choice of subject and use of two color plastic. Much of the range is being re-released by Revell (in single color plastic) and this kit is currently on the market (2007).

About the kit
This is Revell reboxing of the Matchbox kit. This was one of the last 1/76 kits from Matchbox and a very exotic choice of subject. It was also a great source for HVSS suspensions at the time. There are 4 decorations instead of the usual 2, 2 Korean War, 1 postwar UK, and an unmarked WW2 machine, presumably of one the pre-production test vehicles used in Cologne in 1945.
The headlight brushguards are missing as often on older kits.
